OTR Youth & Community Groups Focus

Mossley Hill Youth Group Project

Conquering the Cave!

The OTR team has over 20 years of experience working with youth and community groups. OTR’s focus for youth is personal and social development. We want to see young people grow in confidence, recognise their value and their achievements and feel part of their community. We want to see groups supporting and encouraging each other, growing as a team, being challenged, facing and overcoming fears and above all having fun.

What We Can Offer You

Fun Climbing Session

Arrange a climbing session as an evening out for your group. We can design a session around your needs.  If you have a group who have climbed before or have never done any outdoor activities we can help.  We can also cater for some groups with disabilities contact us for details.

This course teaches you all you need to know to become an independent climber. On completion of this course you will have the skills and knowledge required to become a member of your local climbing centre and use their facilities.

NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme)

OTR can offer this scheme to individuals or groups who are aged 8-25. The scheme has five levels and is suitable for those new to climbing as well as experienced climbers. Level one of the course takes a minimum of 8 hours to compete. Please take a look at the scheme by following this link:

Sponsored Event

Are you looking to raise money for charity and need an event that’s a little different from a sponsored walk or car wash?  Then talk to OTR about a sponsored climbing event. OTR recently helped a community group raise £2,500 for the Red Nose Day Appeal.  This community group included pupils, teachers, parents, local police and faith groups. They climbed the equivalent of Mt. Kilimanjaro at their local climbing centre. 19,454 ft in five and a half hours!
